hey all
well i took a stab at paint a smooth round hard surface....a hardhat
it didnt go well at all!!!!!!!! okay i got to laugh now but last night i wasnt :devil-smiley-033: i had fire shooting out my eyes and arse...lol
so first of all i sketched up some skulls and flames...cool i said and cracked a pint...then it all went south from there...well it spidered ,,it blotched,, it coughed and farted....so what would any good artist do ...i cracked another pint (i wish i was joking) i trudge on singing insprational songs to get me through
paint it all black again and...........you guessed it cracked another pint
back to the drawing board ....yup more spiders more blotches and more flactulance...what could i do crack another pint...nice
so after a 2 hr fist fight with the damn thing it looks like crap but it may fly so i hit it with a clear coat (rattle can) i have taken the liner out and while spinning the hardhat around to admire the subpar job i did on it (this were it gets bad ) it hops out my friggen hand lands on the carpet only to be riddled with dog hair and wood chips ....so i curse and swear and do what any good aber" would i cracked another pint ......and wept...lol
(this is a true story only the names have been changed to protect the innocent)
i have pmed whit to please explain (when he has time and im hoping he does)
the process to me about a base coat and such
i may post up a pic (even though its too hideous for publication tomorrow)
take care !

Your spiderwebbing thing is usually
thin paint with and/or HIGH pressure !!!
You should be able to get close enough
to the surface to do some very fine detail,,,
but if your psi is high enough,,, it just
blows the paint away !!!:clapping2:
On detail stuff I generally run about 10/15 psi
but normal ABing,, around 40 psi !!!
You did'nt say what psi or brush you're using !!!
Createx,, for detail,, I thin,, and cut the psi,,
but I'm using a nice detail brush as well,,,
just regular ABing I'm usually using a VL !!!
It makes a difference,, paint/brush/psi !!!
Good Luck on it !!!
(this is your PM reply:partyalone: )
