Whit, I would love to come and see your shop sometime, just to say hello. I have done quite a bit of work at the TX Fisheries in Athens. Next time I'm up that way, I would like to drop by and have a beer and say hello, or a soda if that's more your style. Please put up more about your shop when you have time, I know you go way back in the business, and I would really like to hear more, so would the others here.......

This time around ,,, started a shop in 92 !!
Had a 3200 sq ft bldg to work out of,,,
lived in half the bldg,,, other half was work !!!
Then a couple of years ago the landlord sold
the bldg,,, so we just bought a house and
moved everything here (older 2 stry) !!!
Since,, I've "semi" retired so we don't push
for work but we still do our share !!!
Little more relaxed lifestyle,,, but I'm ready
for it,,, been around paint since the 50's
when started at pinstriping/lettering !!!
Plans call for a small shop out back here
but still in the planning stage !!!

Sounds very cool, my hope is similar. Presently I have a 57,000 square foot shop and 30 employees. That officially makes me a referee and guidance counsellor and not a sign guy it seems. It is interesting, but I'm almost ready to pull in my horns and do just what you are doing. Seems to be a shortage of small quality oriented shops around here, I bumped into the owner of the local Yamaha dealership and he went nuts, saying he is dying for a little custom paint and airbrush.

Corsicana is a very nice place to "semi retire" and do your magic thing when you want to rather than push hard all day & night. I bet you even have a maul stick or two kickin around! Good luck with your shop, I hope to do the same one day.....
