I find that most of the Iwatas I have are very versitile and almost interchangable for most jobs. I can't imagine anything coming out that would be a vast improvment over the current models.

Like Steven,,, haven't used one,, but,,,
I've got a custom micron SB,,, and a HP SB !!!
The having of a custom micron is as much a
prestige thing as anything,, unless you do
an awful lot of illustration,,, because as of
yet,,, my HP SB (or for that matter,, my HP C
with 2mm) can do most of what the micron
can do,,, for a whole lot less $$$ !!
The conversion to 2mm on a HP C or HP BC
is far less $$$ with basically the same capability
and performance as a custom micron !!!
To tell the truth,,, it was my lil ol VL's:partyalone: that
paid for the nicer brushes and they still perform
most of the work around here !!!
This is just a 2 cent thing !!!

Whit, your point is well taken. I love my SB which has a .18 needle, but because of the hand matching of needle and nozzle on my Micron C +, the .23 is actually capable of doing finer lines. Also, I save my SB for illustration and water colors, etc., and the MC for automotive fine work, which is does better than the SB, with those kinds of paint. I think that pays kudos to tuning and what can be done by applying good tuning techniques to even a lesser brush.

I think the Kustom gun is a gimmick thing, a taller trigger? A bigger cup? A metal case? Number one, I wish the trigger was shorter. Number two, the cup is almost never filled and if it was, I am spraying too big a project for the gun in the first place. Number three, you can buy those cases in Sams club for $ 30 or less, and I have never seen one spray paint yet......
Like Whit said, just my $ .02........
