I've been silent on the thread for awhile, but I've been practicing. I'm trying to get some fire going and am struggling with it. Here are two pics of my lastest try. It's a Motocross number with fire. I put down the white first and then I put candy on top. I shot it with One Shot white and put Tamiya clear blue over it. I'm using Tamiya till I get the shapes down cuz it's alot cheaper to "finger paint" with than HOK. Please let me know what I'm doing right and where I'm going wrong. I was going for an Alcohol Blue fire look. Thx!

luzer,

mite try thinning the white (looks like you had a little spitting) a little so that you can slowly build the whites up, it will give you more depth and shading in the final candy..also try mixing in a little more freehand in your flames....my 2 cents

Thx for the nice comments so far! Southpaw, I'll give your suggestions a try on my next "quest for fire". Thanks again!
