Seems to be when I try to get close with my Iwata HP-CS, it wont do fine lines and sometimes starts spitting pretty bad.

Any idea what to do? I cleaned the airbrush extremely well too. Even does it with my brand new one and I just put paint in it for the first time. Well I guess that could be my problem, I am using createx black.

What do you all think?

Try air pressure or reducing your paint.

What Stang said..I don't have any knowledge of that AB..But with any AB i've used thinning and pressure are usually the culprit..(if the brush is clean like you said)...It's not an exact science..Ya have to fiddle with the mix almost daily..Eventually you'll get it down to..small tweaks to accomplish what ya want...good luck and just ask away if anything's still messing with ya.

Ohh this Thread section is for help with forum problems..not really Airbrush problems...just for future postings...No biggie, I'm sure..Hunt around more and you'll find the relevant sections to your questions...Good luck and welcome to the forum!!

Stang is right StaticBD! You could also pick some of that Liquitex Flow additive that Airarts has been raving about. I bought 2 bottles from Dick Blick at $4.10 a bottle. I haven't tried it yet but I'm sure Airarts would not lead anybody a stray!

And by the way welcome to the Airbrush Tech Forum!!
