I took my artistic license (which has since expired) on this one. I wanted to illustrate what the northern lights might be like if they were flames. I know flames are all the rage but I did this one in 97. This is one of my rare "art for art's sake" pieces.

That's a cool one also..I dig the ole Borealis..Can see them from my back lawn on a good night..Usually in the winter....I've never done a painting of them..Should probably try one day huh?...Anyway..thanks for showin

I like subject matter like this..Random acts of nature type thing..No one can ever say if it's right or wrong..No two are ever the same....Your version is right on!, haha!

I'll try and get some Pics one day if I see em....It's usually like two in the morning when I'm peeing, hahhaa!..Stare out my bathroom window and forget how late it is...Zoning out on the lights....Ooooo Trippy.

That's the only time I've ever seen them. I've been to Alaska 15 times and only saw them once. I got up at like 2 a.m. to pee and looked out the window and there they were. You can't imagine what it's like unless you've experienced it - sort of like a really good bj. :wink2:
