a freind is just learning, and got the 7 color set. He's having a bad case of tip drying.
Has anyone here used this ? I did, a looooooong time ago and ditched it due to frustration.
Looking to see what kind of pressure he needs to run at and if there is any tips to thinning abit maybe. He's using a badger suction feed and playing on paper I think.
(I've told him about this place and hopefully when he gets a lil more free time he'll pop in. Might just wanna get the dots n daggers thing figured out first)
any info appreciated~

I've used a set of Badger grays and I don't remember getting dry tip. Are they illustration or textile paints?

They're most likely Illustration paints.
Their white is one of the most concentrated around.

With any acrylic opaque...tip dry is a way of life. You could try some flow medium mixed in... thin it a little... but the only way to work through it is A) work with the cap off...that way you have access to the tip as you're going to have to systematically clean it every few min. B) abandon the paint, and find something else.

thanks , I figure this is something he shouldve by passed, but being a beginner with limited $ to spend~
I'll find out where he got these and see if I can convince him to get a bottle of something else!
thank all!

I love their white to nix with Hoblien Aeroflash & E'TAC E.Fx, but if you add some Liquitex Flow Aid to it, it will greatly reduce tip-dry.
