i used to be a big fan, back when Gracie and Frye and that bunch ruled, haven't kept up with it for a few years, but yeah....That's a Freakin REAL Sport!

The Spike network shows alot of UFC fights.
But of course this weekends fight is pay per veiw.
It will be on Spike in 6 or 8 months.
The fighters are far better now than years past.
Fighters now have grown up on it and have to be very well rounded.
Gracie did change the sport with his Brazilian style but now it's almost a must to be trained in.

is Randy Couture still around the UFC? ...and did anyone ever find out what happened to Royce Gracie? he just kind of fell off the planet last i heard.

Couture retired about 6 or 8 monthes ago, after losing light heavyweight championship to Chuck Liddell. Current Champ.
It went back and forth between the two a couple times in the last couple of years.
Gracie came out of retirement to fight Matt Hughs, the guy that lost his title last night, and got thumped bad.
Shamrock retired also after losing 3 times to Ortiz, who fights in Dec against Liddell, the guy that took out Couture.
The new generation fighter are just plain BAD.

I have video of Ortiz when he first started.....man, he's a wildman! I always liked Couture, remember the upset when he got his first title. I think the UFC is really the ultimate sport.....wish they'd go back to the 'no holds barred' approach like when they first started tho-...man, THAT was BRUTAL!
