Keep your eyes and ears open. You can also check ebay or set up an email notification so when one is listed you're notified. I just won the bid on an Olympos HP-100B today for $104 + shipping. He has another airbrush for sale you may be interested in. Check out this Richpen 213c he's selling. The RP213c is an airbrush I'm sure you'll be very impressed with. Not only that but you can order the mojo parts (needle, nozzle and cap) from Mike Learn and make your own mojo for a fraction of the price.

jason if you are worried or have reservations about buying an airbrush from the UK then maybe you should choose another brand? The way I understand it, it is also difficult to find parts for them as well!!!

Well I beleive Mike Learn does more to it then just the nozzle/needle, I beleive he works on the trigger as well, and something else, I know I used one before and It has an INSTANT response to the slightest touch, and the trigger is moothest I've ever felt. Although id rather not buy one, just saying so people dont get the wrong idea and go do that expecting the same.

Redanner yeah I decided that Ill prolly go with a Grex, from what I was told from a few respectable artists is that they perform better then the Infinities, and they like them better then their Microns, but the olympos's brushes they said were better, however Grex is very good and you can get parts for them so I think I might go with that.

Holy cow Karrine! I really like your new toy. I checked out his listings but didn't see that one. That's why I bought this one.

Jason, you're absolutely right. Mike does a heck of a lot more to it than just the things I mentioned. He's got the Midas touch.

If you replace the needle, nozzle, and cap with his reworked parts you'll be able to get a lot more detail than just using a stock 213c, but it still won't have the feel and overall performance of a Mojo. But you also have to consider there's a lot of us who have to do what we can to come close because we don't have $300...sigh! Maybe some day.

Okay, rub it in a little more...lol. :beat_deadhorse: I know the HP-100B won't perform like a micron B, but I'm sure I'll be happy with it. I've never heard anyone say anything bad about it so I just had to make the leap of faith.

Ahh...you've been doing your homework. I really wanted a SATA but it's going to have to stay on the wish list for now. As for the Devilbiss I haven't had the opportunity to try it out yet since I've been hunting for an affordable air compressor with enough CFM's to use it effectively. Any suggestions? I think I got a better than average price on it since it comes with the regulater/guage and 3 different fluid tips. We'll see.

HAHAHA Research is my thing, and so is homework hehehehe I priced your gun at Dell's favorite Eastwood, and it retails for $400!!! You got a smoking deal! I bought those guns that supposedly spray like a Sata, but for only ~$80, I say supposedly, because I have never tried a Sata, but mine work great. You may want to get another since that primer is a bitch to get out of your gun to spray base and clear though. I thought it was worth the extra $100 not to go through the hassle of sanding down product AGAIN! Thanks to the guys on here for all the awsome advise :wink2:

BTW Jason161, I could only post all those links that I provided here at this site where there are no biases, and where I would not be censored, otherwise I would have helped you much sooner. I am glad that you asked here. I hope that some of these links may help you on getting an Olympos. They are the "original" microns, and are fantastic guns, and are largely responsible for another fantastic brand like Iwata. I only use those brands in my illustrations.

Nothing like saving $270. :multistars:I always get the Eastwood sales pamphlets but once I find something I want or need I go online and find a good deal. Also a big THANK YOU for passing along the awesome advise. I'll start hunting for another gun just to spray primers. There was a couple guys at ab.com who mentioned buying the $14 HVLP at Harbor Freight Tools. They were really impressed how well it performed for such a cheap gun.

Astro Pneumatic / Pt#: AP EVO4018

and try Harbor Frieght for a compressor!

But yeah thanks for all the info, FontGeek told me to get a Grex too and really really likes it. I think im gonna get a Grex XN still because of the price and they availability of parts.
I dunno tho I hear the olympos is so freaking awesome lol

Karrine- for God's sake, leave a few of those MP200's out there for the rest of us. LOL. Between you, ABK, and Fontgeek, it's impossible to get a decent Olympos ;-)

My Olympos HP-100B just arrived today and I couldn't wait to try it out. Gave it a good cleaning and lube, sealed the threads and took it for a test run. I was really caught off guard with it's awesome performance. It's so easy to do fine detail I went right to work on my next project. As you can see, I still have a long way to go before it's done, but don't think I'll have any problem finishing early with my new toy. Sorry about the horrible pic, but hopefully it's clear enough to see some of the detail.

LOL red! You weren't supposed to notice that. I also need to remove and repaint his right hand. I don't like the awkward position of his fingers. Oh well....it's just paint. Another thing I'm doing backwards is the background. I still haven't decided on it....great planning...eh? Oh well, I'm just kinda winging this one as you can tell from the reference pic below.

Thanks Gordon, and I think you're right. I love the the feel and control I'm getting with my Olympos. My only concern is getting replacement parts. Would you know if the shape of their .2 needle and nozzle is the same as or compatable with a Iwata or Richpen?

Thanks Gordon! Parts availability was my only concern with buying Olympos. That's the only reason I kept my Iwata HP-C and HP-B. Now I can sell them and apply the money toward my next toy...a Mojo.:meditate:

Thanks cowboy! As for the double holster...wasn't even thinking about it. I guess we're going to have to give him an imaginary buffalo gun on his imaginary horse. lol That should help take care of any unfinished business.

I've had an Olympos 100a and it was great.....sold it cause I switched to uros at the time. Last year I picked up an Olympos Micron and put in a teflon needle seal and it is awesome, very nice gun....... I still like my Iwata Micron the best out of all my airbrushes though. The head assembly on the Olympos Micron is not interchangable with the Iwata Micron, but the actual nozzel is interchangable, just in case anybody wanted to know:goofy:
