Wow!!...those are big shoes that you are making me wear Josie!! That is very nice of you to say this but not really comfortable with that ''tag'' :)
I also found that the 4 hours went by so fast. Hoped we could have done more but it is always better to do less but to do it right. Speed will come with time. If you learn to cut corners on quality now, you will never be able to get it back.
Here is Josie hard at work...full concentration!!
Thanks again Josie and the most important thing is to see yourself progressing.

Luc, my name is Santiago Perez. I am currently on a journey to transition from the custom bike and car field to the fine Airbrush Art world. I recently took some lessons from my good friend AdamRote.com. I was able to improve 50% with a couple of lessons. My question to you is what paints are you using and what medium are you painting on? I have been using ComArt because that is what he works with and I find them to be very good althouh, most of my portrait work has been monotone up to now. I'm dying to start on some flesh!
Also, have you been on the Art show circuit in Canada, touring with the Art shows and festivals?
Anyway, I've seen your work in the Gallery and I really admire the high caliber, keep up the good work.
Thanks,
Saint

Hi Santiago,
I work with many acrylic type paints. Createx, FW Artists, Golden, Dr Martin, Holbein Aeroflash.
When I do portraits on canvas I use the Holbein paint. I find it to be of a higher quality and very fluid. I believe it compares very well with the Com-Art although I have not tried it. I would have bought the Com-Art paint instead of the Holbein, its just that I would have had to purchase it from the states and I found someone that sold the Holbein locally. I use Createx paint when working on fabric.
For my portraits, I work on a pre-gessoed pre-mounted canvas. I spend quite a bit of time preparing my canvas to get the texture that I want depending on the effect I'm looking for.
If your looking to do some portrait, I would highly recommend to you rent or purchase the Steve Driscoll 2 DVD set. The are very very useful.
No I do not participate in Art shows or festivals in Canada...at least not yet. I have a full time day job but I hope that in the near future (soon) I'll be able to reduce my work week to allow more time to airbrushing.
Hope this helps and good luck in your transition!!
Thank you
Luc
