Well here's a piece that I painted and sold a few years ago.(I liked it so much I've decided to paint it again).
It's a 58x80cm metal surface
Teh paint used is Etac exf 500.
The airbrush is a no name "cheapo ebay" airbrush self tunned.
Erasers of all kinds used.
I've posted it in diferent stages.
David
Great Looking !!!
Just shows it's not really the tool,,,
but the hand that wields the tool !!!

Great work David.... Amazing detail in the skin texture!
I think that pic depicts how he was able to sustain a note indefinately? Not many people have that much air volume on tap.
If you had him hanging around the shop, you could just toss your air compressor!!

Thanks for your kindness,
Josie,
I'm self tought and I've been doing this for a long time.
I had my first airbrush when I was a young man but even though I was interested in painting.
I was more interested in Women at that time and i didn't have a copressor so the air was a problem. I took it a bit more serious like 12 years ago but I've been painting on and off ever since.
Skids,
If I had him in my shop (I don't have a shop just a tiny room at home to paint) I wouldn't paint I would just listen to him all day long and  .
Michelancello,
The airbrush is similar but streight from Macao.
Try to change the "O ring" for an Iwata one.
I also fine tune the needle but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that doesn't have mechanical knowledge.
With the money saved I could afford to buy a D 80:love: so I could take the pictures of my work.:partyalone: :partyalone:

gna gna gna... gna gna gna... gna gna gna! :blah:
you know David... for me there was 2 portraits legend in the airbrush work... Tica from Dru and your Dizzy Gillespie! Honestly! :hail: So it is an honnor to see this step by step! Thank's
I tuned the copy airbrush and made it work like a hp-ch but at the end, I tryed to buff the nozzle head and this ruined the airbrush. I called the company for another nozzle head, I was ready to pay for it but the told me they wanted to give me one on waranty... wich was kind of them! But 2 weeks after I received a totaly bended needle (the tip was a hook!!!) and a used and dirty head! If the airbrush would of work... I would of draw them a nice raised center finger! Instead I send them a message telling I was buying my Iwata.
Hope my english was ok... this want was dificult for me!
