Good stuff there. I have noticed that very few folks work in browns. Haven't figured out why. This blends well. No doubt I'll learn some from you too.

Thanks guys and Josie, this was just to get some tones down before I go at colouring my 4 foot by 8 foot mural of the JLA. Comic book stuff, i'm a big comic freak.:)

Clem no browns in that, except the suit is tinted brown. This was all rendered in black and Shading Grey Golden AB colour. Here's a pic of it in black and white before I did the colour tint. I'll post up a pic of a piece I did in all brown scale for you in a new thread.:)

WOW Clinton im stunned that u used blacks or greys a got such a beautiful skin tone.....i tought that using those colors before would make yous skin tone look awful....how did u manage that?

AWSOME

Thanks Josie, the gery scale just determines the tone value of whatever you tint. Useing the black or grey in the paint or on top would make the skin tone muddy. But using it undernether to define your draker tones it doesn't have that effect.

Clinton, I love this piece, very very nice! One question, are the eyeglasses airbrushed? Just wondered, it is really fine work. Truly impressive work, thanks for posting......

Thanks again guys, yep the glasses are AB. I haven't done any mixed media yet, I was thinking about doing them with a brush but I had white in my brush from the pinstripes.:)

Thanks, but I don't think it was that good of a piece. It was really just to get a grip on skin tone, this is my first go at it. I've been doing almost all mono tone work up to now, and have a large 4'X8' wall hangging that needs coloring.(7 people)

I think your already at least as good as I am, maybe better. I think your Pez pinup is as good as any of my stuff. It looks like you used very little white to highlight, at least in her face ect. This makes it stand out among the rest of your work and makes for a more natural or balanced piece. Hope you don't mind the critique. At least you look to be makeing $$ off your talent, I haven't as of yet.:/
