I am playing around with a design to put on a shirt. The example below is all one color but my plan is to use brown tones for the face area and make the antlers look more like aluminum. the dots around the perimiter represent where I plan to put rivits. Comments on the overall design? The lettering on the final design will say Metal Craft by with moose under the head.comin off the left leg of the M in moose will be a striping sword. That is how I usually sign my striping. So what would you change????
p.s.I need to get to the store and get MORE colors........
Maybe a striping brush out the side of the mouth? Other than that, looks like a good idea.

Tim, you did good! You are progressing well. The drop shadow on the lettering is a very good start. The shadow on the moose should be the same, that would help. Overall, improvement every time, keep it up!
If you intend to use the moose as a metal look piece, lose the hair, its one or the other, maybe look for a reflection line, and make it look like metal?
Keep up the good work, looking better every time!

Clem,
I had thought about hanging a brush from his lip but figures with the one that will be on the bottom lettering it may be too much.
Scott,
I only pl;an to go for a metallic look on the antlers. The rest will be fur. The hair sticking up really did not give me the look I am after so it will not make it to the next attempt. I plan to do a full color try as soon as I can get to Micheals to get more colors of Createx.....Next one will be on Pellon to see how different it sprays compared to the paper towel.

Tim, sorry, I am old and stupid, misunderstood. A suggestion? Spray a tonal brown into the moose's face (See your avatar for tones?), then maybe a billion hairline strokes in varying colors of brown. (see my Shi Tzu helmet, that is most of the painting) Until the hairs start to fill the space (worst case is, you will be done with fine line practice). Time consuming, yep, but could look really good. There's a few very good references for metal look on here for the horns.

Here is the next version after I got more colors. The plan is to paint "Metal Craft by" in chrome style block letters across the top and "moose" across the bottom. My image is to havethe head look furish and the antlers look metal. I have more work to do but am always looking for ideas to make it better. I will post more as I progress....

Lookin better Tim! I am just wondering if you might consider taking it a little off a direct view, more like your avatar? It might work better as a way to get depth. Keep on pluggin'!

still working on the control thing. Any suggestions to better define the antlers? They look like the edge is not finished but I don't think it would look right to just outline them either.....
