Cowboy, I did the Nimitz sweatshirt in 1990. A friend of mine had a teen age son who enlisted in the navy. This was his ship of choice. As it is, an original tour to get away from bad high school friends and a negative environment has turned into a lifetime for him. John Molloy has been involved in search and rescue from his home base in san Diego for the last 16 years, including help after the tsunami in Indonesia, and a tour in the present conflagration. He has become one of my heroes, and now divides his time between teaching new recruits and being deployed on emergancy missions. Ironically, his most dangerous story involved a mishap about 10 years ago when one of the Navy'f 1st women chopper pilots accidentally dumped their chopper into the ocean on a SAR mission off of California. He managed to save most of his own crew, all survived.

Lotso my stuff has been given away to old friends. I had a chance in the late 70's to do some album art, but, as usual, I was too stooooopid to do anything and keep it. Before and during my ab stuff, I did a lot of oil painting and pen and ink work. I do have some pix of shirts I did for my kids way back. I'll see if I can upload some pix of that stuff. Thanx all for the compliments. For those of you that know about cicadas, my kids were born 2 years before and 3 years after the alpha swarm erupts in Cincinnati. Her'es a shirt I did for my son about 13 uyears ago.

The lettering on the shirt is that puffy paint that puffs when you iron it. My son got a kick out of that shirt, and wore it til it got skin tight-about 3 years. In this part of the world, chefs really do serve them up when they are in season. Just another excuse for a party in the park. After all, we also have the annual great inland seafood festival weekend, where all the seafood people come out and offer their seafod specialties along our riverfront park.

I'm trying to learn thumbnail uploads, so here goes a few more pix. No, really, everyone loves to see their name up in lights, except criminals on the run.
