Has anyone thought about setting up for Halloween costume makeup? I would think you'd do really well with it, if you were able to get the word out in time.

Yah Whit, that would be part of the problem, it would probably need to be done AFTER they were alreay in costume, and obviously before they went out for the evening. Although if you could setup at a costume shop or beauty shop, you might be able to pull some decent dollars. But you would need to make sure that you are using something that won't smear or casually come off so that the patrons could change clothes or costumes without losing the artwork.
A barber's chair or dentist's chair would be ideal for doing it. If you were just starting out doing this, I would suggest that you try it at a charity function as a donation or something of that nature, maybe a childrens hospital. You could get your licks down while getting good press and contacts through the hospital and it's supporters.
IF you have any amusement parks around you, they probably use this method for makeup already, Halloween has become such a big moneymaker at the parks that it has become a whole marketing season on it's own. You might find some work with them if you are looking for bucks.

If possible,,, find a local theatrical supply,,
theater make-up seems the way to go here,,,
but FG brought up an interesting question
on the smudging aspect on this !!!
Several avenues to go,, could use this year to
plan for next,, get your feet wet,, so to speak !!!

We have been doing airbrush face painting for years. Most of our designs can be done in under 5 min. at $10 each.Custom designs cost $15-$20 Halloween is a great money maker and this year we have 2 weekends full of parties. We use mostly Trendy Tribals water based face make up and some Mehron liquid make up.

it's just something I've been thinking about for awhile...I know it exists, but how to step into the venue...no clue. Of course, right now, it would be insane to think about doing it..hell, I'm packing up my house into boxes as we speak. And I STILL don't know when I'm going. (germany) BAH
