Hey everyone. :3

Long time since I've posted but here goes any way.

I've seen painted Xbox360s and the such but am curious, what kinds of things do people do to prepare a video game system for painting?

I was thinking of trying to give my PSP a little style instead of being just black.
:animal-smiley-027:

EDIT: put it in here because PSP is "smaller" I guess x3!

You would just treat it like any other item but after scuffed / cleaned you use an ahesion promoter so the paint will stick to the plastic. I would also take the cover over to paint it instead of masking off the screen etc. Hope this helps, you can also search on here about painting on plastic to find out more in depth info I'm sure. Howdy Big C!....Yup pretty much just paint it like any other hard surface...Plenty of ways to do it...I did my old PS2...Taped off anything that paint could blow into...I refuse to use adhesion Promo, hahaa..Just something else they wanna make $$ off in my book....But some swear buy it...If done right it'll work either way, choice is yours....Would be best like Aboslute said and try to take it apart...Just less chance of blowin paint in bad places.

Clean it, Sand it, Clean it again, then paint it....Viola!!

i have painted video game consoles, including both my old xbox's, both of my xbox 360's and my ps2 ( i also do led's, window cut's but thats beside the point ) yes you want to take the whole case off and prep just like anything else and i use acrylic paint, sticks to plastic just fine but you'll need a clear coat after your all done good luck and be sure to have fun and show us the fun your having :D

I used to put leds around t shirts with iron on transfers on them with a 9v battery. Had forgotten all about that until I saw this post. I've never tried painting on plastic without an ahesion promotor. ABD is saving me money! LOL That's cool! Alan
