My dear Mum was kind enough to send me this picture today...It's hanging in her house...Sucks the pics came out so horrid...Wish she'd of taken it off the wall, Excuse the window reflections.. But can't look a gift Mum in the mouth..LOL

The story behind it is...I was 17..Soooo 14 years ago....Not my concept, was a poster i found in the City done in kinda grey tones....Maybe some of you have seen the original Poster??..I wanted to give a go at something big and cool instead of practicing on paper all the time..

This was done with a single action Passche and one of those lil Puffer comps...Paint was from drilled out Spray Cans...So needless to say not the best equipment in the world.

I know there's a lot more detail that isn't showing in pics...I remember putting stars in the wizards Hat..Small things that ya can't see unless it was in front of ya..I tried to blow up a close up..But it gets fuzzy....Anyway..Always nice to see the old stuff and how it all evolves..

looks slick, especially for the set up you used.

Great pics Dell, Thanks for Showin. As far as Yer Equipment & paint. Ya do what Ya gotta do with what Ya got. & You did a fine job. It Aint about the Equipment, It Only takes patience ta Make something work Like You want it to. These days Everybody say,s , Dont get a single action airbrush . But some of the true Masters of the old days, Thats what they used. Nowadays. Buy the best, Fanciest Equipments & paints . if it dont turn out. Blame it on the equipment. Sorry, Just sick of the BigDogs saying Ya cant do it other with the products there Pushing. Just My Opinion .

Thanks Fellas...

I hear ya CB..I wish I still had my ole single action....I gave it to a younger guy wanting to learn how to paint....I don't think he ever got into it seriously..Probably threw it out er something........Yup they are a whole new critter to use... People would be amazed at the lines you can make with em though...but never give it a try cuz they're old skool and told to not bother.

A great piece Dell, especially given the tools you had to use at the time. Thanks for sharing.
