First time in the nearly nine years I have lived in Central Texas, the Tornado sirens sounded over our town late yesterday afternoon. A supercell formed just between us and Scott & White hospital, a quarter mile away! The hail came down about plum sized, and we headed for cover.......
The storm was moving so fast, it was over minutes later, believe it or not, it was moving north at 40 MPH! Scary fast, they were warning people on the TV, if you can see it, its too late to avoid it, jeez.... anyway, we made it through with one big oak tree down, will buck it up Sunday morning. Sadly it turned tornado and touched down just north of us in Groesbeck, one dead and many many injured. Houses flattened. Its humbling to see the power of mother nature....
Whit, Denise, you guys suffer anything in your areas, I know you are both due north of me?:(
