Hi guys-girls,
I have here some Aluminum panels that I recently painted for my garage.
Wanted to give it an added touch, lol..
These were all done w/1 shot, over uros..
But anyway, I thought I would share this w/you to check out..
I am still somewhat a newbie, and still having fun. If there is anyone out there wanting to try stripin' PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, and do it..
It is so much fun..
The first pic here is my FIRST scroll work. I have been drawing circles for 2 weeks and then decided to step up to the plate. BOY is scrolling addicting, lol.
Just love it!
My brush of choice was "Kafka" for all my panels..
As always, Thanks for looking!
Eddie

Oh Yeah....Eddie that is some super nice striping goin on.....
Your scrollies are so nice and playful in that it sure portrays a freeform spirit and gives feeling to enjoy with viewing all directions thereof......I so enjoy asymmetry.......
I am a traditionalist tho, and sure enjoy stripes that go with traditional flame styles.....Your nearing tribal designs are indeed very interesting....
I especially like the texture of your spade eight ball design.....
Would you care to share how you did the texture there on the spade....?
Nice work for sure Eddie......

Thanks Jimmy!
The spade is actually "verigated Leaf''. NO texture, just leaf.
I have a few more to do, w/leaf maybe I will post a how too. If INterested

Oh Yeah Eddie......some variegated leaf as I did see some subtle overlay sections there and it got me wondering to ask.....
Looks copper based leaf, but seems to light for that....Perhaps imitation gold or Tamise' flakes in imitation gold.....?
Yeah and with leaf it makes for another bunch of process before you did your outlines and striping.....
Sure would be real nice if you would do a how to on such Eddie.....

Beautiful panels! Someones been busy... keep up the good work!
Lookin Great Fig,,, Lookin Great !!!
What sizing you use on your leaf,,,
oil or waterbase,, personally I prefer
the oilbase,, waterbase seems to apply
a tad uneven ,, or so it seems here,,
A Good How To on Leafing would be a
Great Addition to the forum !!!

Hey guys thanks for the comments, Greatly appreciated!
Ok Jimmy, the leaf is a "Verigated leaf" (fake) they have a bunch of styles and colors. I believe i purchased these at "Michael's.
A far as a beginner (Novice)I would say, Yes I am. I have been striping for a little over a year. But the thing is I stripe maybe a 2-3 times a month. If that sometimes.. I can tell you this though, I draw 'striping designs' on paper at least 15min a day..I use colored pencil for that, and see what design appeals to me. Then I go and start stripin. I believe being a beginner, drawing is what made me prospur so quickly.
As far as sizing goes, I was using one shot quick size..I don't know I can't get that to work right for me. I switched to Rolco(oilbase) And seem to have better results..
Againj thanks for looking, i will be doing another panel shortly, and will gladly do a How too.. Shoot, Thats the way I learned!
Thanks for looking
Eddie
