Very, very nice Patrick! I can almost feel the speed of the car coming through the painting.
I use the same eraser, an essential tool for me.

This is fantastic. I agree with air_fx and had the same reaction. I got into watching racing again this past summer and I find this beautiful.

Thank you so much. The size of a painting is always something I think a lot of.
I think I will work bigger next time , I think it will come more alive (?) , its just that I love to work in complete detail. I hope you understand what I mean , my writting in English is not that good.
So I would like your opinion on that , what you think I should do , stick to the small size or will for example the same piece look more impressive when its made bigger ?

Thank you ,

Patrick Dodde.

Love it. I enjoyed seeing your work and attention to detail and clean lines. If you can do detailing and work small... it seems to me the larger pieces would be a piece of cake and you could go insane with the details!! (in a good way) I like to work on canvas but the smallest canvas was 5"X7" of my son and that was just his face. I know I have to play around more with the paint viscosity, pressure and the preparation of the canvas... Can I pick your brain? I am guessing this was on illustration board? Could you go through the tools and medium specifics, air pressure... please so I have an idea how ya work?

I am new here and haven't really got the chance to poke around and get to know styles and what people tend to work on yet, so I haven't seen your portrait work.... I claim ignorance right now. I will have to make some time to check people out. Just a busy time right now.:smashfreakB: Shouldn't even be here now!:( Off to the dungeon... bah humbug

Hi and welcome,
Of Course I can tell you more. The paint I use is Metalflake , they have a candy apple line and its a carpaint so bad for your health. The use of a respirator is a must. I still looking for a acrylicpaint that I can use the same way , that is thinning down a lot ! And of course the old tipdry..( I have comart paint here now for a try dont know if I can use that paint for custompaint also ?) Anyway I work at 4 bar (dont know the meassure in psi). The board I use is 300 grams "Ivory board"its extremely white and I love it because I dont use any white in my painting so the white of the board is verry good. For the rest I used frisket and a electric erasers and some erasers plus an xacto-knife for cutting the frisk and put some more highlights.

hope this helps ,
Thanks everybody !

Patrick
