I agree that the picture is kinda small to see much and I think you know that I am new to this so take my statement with some consideration.

In general it looks good but the gold/brown on the right that is split, looks out of place to me. Maybe out of balance is a better term.

Just my thoughts and as I say I can't get flames to suit me now, still working on it.

First I commend you for putting your work out for critique. I feel that is the only way to learn! That said, The quality of the paint lay-out is good. Like Clem stated the lay-out is not balanced but that may be on purpose. If you were trying for flames the outer licks look okay but the design in the center looks more like ribbons to me. But I am looking at it as an attempt at old school; style flames. Please remember this comments are not inteneded as a put down just critique.
