hey all
was just wondering if anyone had or has a step by step approach to do real flames..i know its a hard task to do and i have seen examples on the internet
some explain laying down colours ..light to dark ,,,and others dark to light
i would love to get a copy of the true flames video i may have to order it maybe from my hobby shop..but in the meantime i have the colours (mostly i think) just looking for some direction
thanks and god bless

hey Ron, are you talking about automotive flames, or T-shirt flames? Tru Fire, like Mike Lavalee invented is definitely dark to light. I will make a list of layers. Meantime, search here for Josie's post on some awesome drums she did.

I believe that the true flames are done from light to dark and then back to light again. There are a lot of layers. The first ones are the base for the next and so on. These layers will go from dark to light to give depth but they all begin as light.
