Hi all from south-east UK

Hiya everyone.
I just recieved an email invite to this forum so i thought i would sign up and say hi.

Im Svee, im from Winchester in the UK. Ive been drawing all my life but i turned my attention to airbrushing about 4 years ago when i painted a jacket for my wife.
Then people started asking my wife about her jacket and i did a couple for people and things grew and in the last couple of years i have spent all my spare time painting things for people and making some decent pocket money from it (i have a regular day job).

Most of my attention is on guitars these days. I have been a guitarist for 13 odd years so they are close to my heart and are what i seem to get asked to paint mostly :)

I was looking through your site last week as it happens - I was checking my own site's listing in Google and yours came up. Always nice to see a good new artist make an appearance in the UK. You might also want to check out Andy Stroud at www.hairydesigns.com in Buckingham, who's a good mate and a really nice chap (I built his site for him as well...)

Can I ask how you achieve your finish? In other words, do you do your own lacquering or do you use another bodyshop?

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

When it comes to my lacquering i source it out to an auto body shop a few miles away. I airbrush im my bedroom so i have to use waterbased paints, have the right extraction system running to clear the overspray and using 2K clear is a huge no no.

I hope to have my own premesis some day and do my own clearing but for now i just get the bodyshop to do it

Nice one - I hope they do your work justice. I've got a very long waiting list for work at the moment (I'm telling people May for a start date at the moment) so if I get any requests for guitars I'll direct them towards your site.
