Very Beautiful, but whats with the blood? Sorry, I just dont understand it.

I think the blood is there to show that the wings separated from the back. Hence the title of metamorphosis.

If I'm on the mark, the general storyline of the subject is that it started out as a tattoo and the girl started to undergo metamorphosis (a change from one thing to another) and the tattoo wings pulled out from the back and became real.

I really really like this piece. A little macabre...but great. You photograph your work with an interesting "slant" as well...draws the viewer in.

Thanks for the comments... and I do understan the concern on the blood.

The gore FX absolutely takes the image to another place artisticly.
To say the image is beautiful but disturbing tells me we hit our mark.

The photographer was very adament that the piece should convey in a single look exactly what Fishboy observed.
