I'm a little hesitant to post this but what the heck! Yesterday & last night one of my medications failed me and I give in to one of my disorders although I'm happy about it! On an impulse I bid on and won the bid on ebay for a Harder & Steenbeck Infinity Two in One! The guy makes Decorative Wildfowl Carvings and only used it twice and decided to go back to his Paasche AB because of the amount of paint he needs in the cup which is very little at a time! I payed $150.00 for it plus $10.00 shipping and $5.00 insurance! I think I got a good deal but we will see after I get it and use it!

Great deal indeed Robert..I think you'll really like it....Have ya felt it yet?..Like played with it in yer hands...Has a longer Trigger than some others..Pretty comfy I think.....I also like the way the Nozzle is held in place..less chance to break like other brands do....The .4 needle combo will damn near do the same line as the .15..but handle thicker paints, so that's a plus as well.

Mines still leaking air out of an odd spot though..I don't think it's supposed to....Wanna help me do some trouble shooting?...Do a test and let me know if yers does the same??..LOL..I'll take pics of the prob if yer willing to compare with me:)

Thanks much Doomy...I'm the same way with E-bay..hahaha Hate it!...I'd rather pay more than play with all that auction stuff.

Yeah my Infinity seems to be leaking air from a spot that has no threads..I have no way to know if others do this...I don't wanna go yanking on things with pliers..LOL...Might be a defect??...have to find out what others are doing before I take any action either way..LOL

Yes Dell when I get it I will see if it leaks air in any strange places and we can go from there! Ok! I just priority mailed A U.S. Postal Money Order so I don't expect to get until the end of next week or the beginning of the week after that!

Yes airdoom I know exactly what you are talking about! I don't do pissing contests on ebay! I bid how much I want to pay and thats it even if the winning bid is a dollar more! This particular item had a little over 4 hours left with no bids! The bidding started at what I won it for $150.00! I messaged the guy about the airbrush asking 2 questions; What did he use it on and why was he selling it! He answered with very good answers so I placed a bid! If I couldn't get it for $150.00 then I was not meant to have it! Even though I am an impulsive, compulsive, and obsessive I can still draw lines!

No problem Dell! Any info is always good for anybody else that maybe having the same problem! I will say Josée is much easier to look at and knows more than I do so go with her! I will check mine out when I get it!

I think Ebay is addictive.
When the twins were born, I started buying a lot off Ebay.
I guess I was going through a little, relive my childhood.
Anyway, I spent, in a few months, about $400 or so on Hotwheels from Ebay.
Only the promo type that you find on the backs of product boxes, parts stores and gas stations etc.
I also had a paper with all the Hotwheel numbers in my wallet, and was the idiot looking for the ones I didn't have at walmart.
I wised up after a couple of years.
Now I've probably got a 1,000 or more Hotwhells in the attic, still in the packaging.
Not to mention the 500 or so that the kids have.
I need some anti compulsive buying meds.

OK...It wants to make a liar out of me today..LOL.....I 1st noticed this using waterbase paints..As i clean it with soapy water from a squirt bottle....Water gets everywhere...On one of my color changes I noticed Bubbling coming from this seam...No threads or anything..It doesn't move as far as I'm aware of....The whole seam doesn't leak. just this random spot.

I'm crazy careful with my stuff..No banging it around..So I don't think I could have split that seam in anyway......Figures just now I went out and sprayed soapy water on it and no bubbles..hahaa!.....It's crazy clean right now and I haven't used it in days....But saw the bubbles all the time while painting...I'm wondering if maybe a wee bit of tip dry or build up that naturally happens while painting..Builds up a bit of backpressure in there and causes air to leak here??

I'll keep my eyes peeled next time I'm painting with it and get a pic when/if it happens.......Pic below is the spot where it leaks:)

wow, as far as I've seen, not a whole lot, that's a part that's supposed to be completely sealed at the factory and there's not much you can do about it. If there is that warranty then you should check it out and see if they'll send you a new one

ABD

Yeah it looks like it's supposed to be sealed...But who am I to know..Might be something fancy in there..LOL....I've never noticed any problem spraying...But it is a bit unnerving to see bubbles popping out from there...When everyone gets all crampy over using bees wax to seal the tiniest leak...I'm blowin air out a hole in the side of my AB with no issues..hahaha!....Then again if it's done that from day one..It may have never sprayed correct, I just thought it did..hahaha...I dunno!

I've never played warranty on anything I've ever boughten. Wouldn't have a clue how..Just the ass in me:)..I'll usually throw it over back or break out the welder before anything else..LOL

I haven't had any leaks with mine over the last year or so, you might put some soapy solution over it and put your finger over the front of your brush like you were backflushing, if it is going to bubble, that would be the time it would happen.
If it is in fact leaking, then you should contact whoever you bought it from, since you didn't do it through ebay, it should be fairly easy to get them to honor the warranty. I got mine through Chicago Airbrush Supply, they carry the full line of parts and brushes, they also carry the Grex brushes and parts, so I can get one price for shipping any and all I need from one place.

Good find Robert!...I was looking for some kinda break down like they have for other AB's...Sure looks like that's a permanent part.

Thank you Josse for doing that...Maybe they've had others do it??....I've never had a blockage that got so bad I had to tear it down and start digging in there..Just normal routine stuff..Never soaked in anything either.....The last 3 or 4 paintings I've noticed it bubbling there...Now today I can't duplicate it..hahaa!..Yup FG, I tried to backflush see if it'd happen, nope...Weird indeed!

Seems if it happened even once that it'd have to be a split in the seam..Maybe a thin spot in the cast?...I dunno how they make em....To just stop like that makes no sense though...I'm gonna have to paint something now and watch it..LOL

First off, congrats on the deal, Red. You practically stole that one. You're going to love the infinity.

As far as air leaks, I've never had any problems on mine. Thats a pretty odd place to leak, though. I'd just shoot them an email at info@harder-airbrush.de and see what they say. Judging from the customer service I've got from them, the problem will get solved one way or another.

wow!..Quick response there..Good deal:)

Like I mentioned..It seems to work perfect..Just seems if it's that thin in that spot, who knows what it could turn into..Would suck if the crack grew somehow.....I suppose without proof it's a moot point...I swear I've seen it bubble on multiple occasions while cleaning..LOL....I'll try to get pics of it happening...video maybe...I'm still stunned it wouldn't do it today..hahaa! i haven't done anything different just let it sit a few days..I dunno??

See Bryon It sometimes pays to ask :boogie: Here is Harder & Steenbeck's reply this morning

Josee,

we will send a new body for the airbrush. I have checked with Germany, technically this problem should not influence the performance of the airbrush.

Please let me know if you want the part sent to you or directly to the customer. (need his address).

Now i need you address sent to pm or my email...i'd rather they send it directly to you

draggin81 you really don't want to get me started on my meds! If its possible to be a legal junkie them I fit that profile! Really no addictions as of this point in time except this forum and airbrushing! Went to see a neurologist for the first time 2 weeks ago he took me off of Tramadol and put me back on Oxycodone & Gabapentin! Oh what the Hell see list below!

1. Cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) 10MG 2 times daily for pain (Muscle Relaxer)

2. Lisinopril (Zestril) 20MG 1 morning 1 evening for high blood pressure (ACE inhibitor)

3. Hydrochlorothiazide 25MG 1 daily for high blood pressure

4. Aspirin 80MG 1 morning reduce chances of heart attack

5. Tricor 145MG 1 daily for reduce cholesterol and triclygerides

6. Simvastatin (Zocor) 40MG 1 daily for hypercholesterolemia (elevated cholesterol levels) (statins)

7. Glyburide 5MG 2 morning 2 evening for diabetes

8. Metformin 100MG 1 morning 1 evening for diabetes

9. Temazepam 15MG 1 At bedtime as need for sleep

10. Cymbalta 30MG 1 morning 1 evening for pain & anxiety (Anti-depressant)

11. Methylin ER (methylphenidate or Ritalin SR) 20MG 1 morning 1 afternoon 1 evening for ADD & Sleep Apnea

12. Citalopram (Celexa) 40MG 1 – ½ in the morning for anxiety (Anti-depressant)

13. Doxycycline Hyclate 100MG "prophylactic" for staff infection (tetracycline antibiotic)

14. Gabapentin 100MG 1 at bedtime up to 2-16-08 then take 1 2x daily until 2-26-08 then take 1 3x daily for 1 month

15. Oxycodone / APAP 5MG – 325MG 1 every 6 hr as needed for pain

Now you know what I'm talking about and this isn't about getting sympathy from anybody don't need that I get enough of that from myself! Well yesterday I started the Gabapentin 3 times a day. Last night while I was at the computer I kept seeing something dart across the room in my peripheral vision! And I thank my Heavenly Father that my sweet wife has good insurance through Western Illinois University! On top of all that I have an Attorney loading his guns for when my hearing for my disability claim comes up at the end of this summer! I've been waiting for it and it will be 24 months in October of this year!

I told you not get me started :forgiveme: for the rambling! I guess it's my thread so :wtf: :whatever::whew:

Latest email for Bryon...

Josee,
the seal will be in the new body already, so he doesn't have to do anything with that.

We are also sending a tool to loosen the center ring of the infinity to take it apart. He just has to take it apart and change the body. It only takes one minute. It is going out with today's mail.

If he has any problems he can call or e-mail us.

Wow, that is an impressive list Red. I hate it when the Dr.s start playing with meds. It always takes me a few weeks to get used to it, then they quit working after a couple of months, and the whole dance starts over. lol.
Even though your list dwarfs mine, I'll give mine anyway...
1)clonazepam- 1mg 3x daily for anxiety and panic attacks
2)fluoxetine- anti-depressant
3)sertlraline- anti-depressant
4)Wellbutrin XL- anti-depressant

Betcha can't guess my diagnosis. LMAO. I have a partial tear in my bicep tendon, so some of that Oxy sure sounds nice right about now. lol. All they gave me was a cortizone shot, which isn't nearly as much fun.

Ya mental steroids I see! To bad they don't do for the brain what real steroids for the muscle! I just found out today the MRI the neurologist had me get for the pain I have showed something they weren't looking for! They found a narrowing of the Carotid Artery in my neck! Chuck I hope you are just kidding because I don't consider myself a druggie! Just a person that has some unfortunate infirmities in his later years that requires medications! Karrine can take all the urine samples she wants from me because I'm not just broke I'm broke but I don't expect you to understand it all! Now if we can laugh together then nows the time to start! :animal-smiley-071::16_7_207:

LMAO. If Karrine started taking samples, there'd be alot of people on here who would need to worry more that I would. Even back in the days I would have just told her what she'll find (did that to a AODA worker, she was not amused. lol). These days nothing that I don't have a prescription for would show up.

ABD- I have major depression (clinical depression) which is different from being depressed. I'd probably overload the server trying to explain the difference, so the short answers are.... it's genetic- yes, it does suck- no, I'm not suicidal- some days are better than others- and finally, its been good lately.

that aside, I do wonder, if we did test everyone, I wonder what percentage of the people on this forum use, ummm, not-exactly-legal mood enhancers. I don't think we'd even have to ask CDM. lol.

Nothing, you brought up druggies and it reminded me of that.(being close to home and all)...an observation, nothing more than what you had....neither has anything to do with the topic..Just talk is all.

Here in harbor Rotterdam they intercepted 2,4 tons of pure coke a while back haha!! They had welded panels shut in the cargo hall, stuffed it all behind it.. looked like an original wall, but they used them dogs...to get it out they hade to use a bigg ass blow torch.

I'll bet that columbian dude where it came from was crying haha!

Sorry for messing up ya thread R.

I thought I read a post of yours where you talked abut taking drugs back years ago. And I did read some where about how there are cases all over the USA of prescription drug abuse.

Your grasp for the obvious is riveting!..Yup others were talking about drugs before you, YAY!....Then you brought up something to do with drugs as well..(see I can be obvious too, this is fun)...Just that when you said it, it reminded me of Lake George....For "obvious" reasons yet again:D

What about the people using the torches? Unless they were wearing protective masks they got a big BUZZ!

Chucky I'm not sure where your coming from in these quotes. But if you don't have anything to say nice or constructive in any threads that I start then don't reply!!! You can make comments off the topic in my threads if that is what you desire just don't question anybody else's intent if you didn't start the thread. And I think you will find that probably the same rule in most other peoples threads that they start. Even if somebody is making an incorrect statement trying help or advise somebody there are better ways to challenge their statements or views. I'm not mad or pissed off here I'm just trying to teach you a little etiquette! If there is anybody else on this forum that doesn't feel as I do then speak up!

Yes Chuck you did read that, I posted it not being necessarily proud about it but when I realize my mistakes I don't hide them or live with regret to weigh down my future. And you stated that you have never tried or taken drugs or even had a drink of alcohol. I commend you for that and think you should be proud! But that gives you NO right to judge or make bad comments about anybody else that has or does. In your pride of your accomplishment you should be wanting to help anybody in that area of life or your pride is really vanity in disguise which is an internal thought of the mind and is just as bad as using alcohol or drugs.
