Ron, that's nice, I knew it was Kate Beckinsale immediately. Funny you did this, I closed the sign shop today, and started painting my second black T. The first was less than an hour and just a trial, so we'll see how this one turns out. Meantime, keep up the good work, well done!

Lay your white in slower and build up the demensions. Also on black I like to start off with extendair and heat set it. Then the white.

Hi Ron,

Did you use a hair dryer or heat gun while you airbrushed the white?
Can you show me the photo you were working from. I've thought a while before answering.

Denise

hi denise
heres my reference pic..my printer is low on ink so its not the best pic to have
i did use an exteneder mixed with water to size the shirt then when dry ironed it before i started
i didnt use a heat gun or dryer while ab'ing the white
there is several layers oh believe me as i have went back and tried to adjust it to have it come around but i am stubborn and any advice would be helpful
thanks
ron

Lookin Good !!!
I've found that if you slightly angle
the brush,,, the white lays more on
top of the fabric instead of blowing
thru as when pointed straight on !!!
On white/dark,, heatset between coats !!!
Lookin Good,, Lookin Good !!!

thank you iam_r_tise you explpained sizing to me i used the wrong term oopsie bad ron..lol (i think i did oh my im so confused)
what i used was golden airbrush medium mixed 50/50 with water and it did create a gluish<< (is that a word?....) background to spray on (possibly the wrong thing to use but just took a guess as i have some)
and since you mentioned it yeah i do move my wrist so thats a basic key fundamental i was lacking..yikes
i went back in and did some more shading and toned down the eyes and tried to add some detail when i done with round 7 or 8 (i lost track) of ABing' i threw it in the dryer to dry (as that was whits advice)
i have learned a ton on this so far and i REALLY appreicate everyones advice and keep it coming because i would like to finish and have it look a pro did it
thanks again iam_r_tise

awesome first attempt man!!! Now fold that tee up put it away and do another with what you learned here. After you are finsihed pull the other one back out...LOL you will freak at how much better you get with great advice from this forum!!! These people are terrific!!
I had someone give me some advise on walking away for awhile when I was in doubt on a practice job. Then come back, in an hour or even the next day, with a clear mind and continue. You would not believe how the brain picks up errors you didnt notice the first time...lol amazing stuff. Maybe try it..who knows...LOL keep sprayin

actually that in itself is great advice walk away ,,,and some times you need to hear that ..in my case anyways because of my "obessive complusive disorder" and stubborness...LOL
i will wait till tomorrow and a take another run or 2 at it and see if i can turn this around...but i will take your advice and fold it up restart it again then see the difference(with clearer reference pic's) and the excellent advice i have gotten so far and i will reread bdogs first tee thread it has some great info too...
thanks all you have ALL been very helpful

Good dialogue and helpful stuff, thanks again all! Ron, I look forward to the next pics!

I have another big question, but I need to post so I can show what I'm asking, so I will start another thread, Ron, my 2nd tee work in progress, only about half done, needing tips as well......hopefully it will help us both.
