Here is a snowmobile hood I have been working on for my hubby. He is very happy with it, as am I... even though I see things that I can improve on next time. Feel free to comment, good or bad.

Thanks for the replies everyone. The hubby took it to get cleared today so hopefully I can get a picture of it on the sled in a few days. Over all I think it is a nice addition to my picture book!

I like it.
I'd love to see a shot of it after the clear, put back together and outside, I have no doubt he is now the envy of many.

If I can comment though, one thing that I have found useful when attempting to do the comic book style when hard lines are kind of expected and necessary, is to not always go with a black line. I have found that a line of the same color but in a much darker tone gives the nice clean look and outline without being too harsh like black some times is. Not sure if that makes sense.

It looks great, I love the smoke coming out of the breather holes too, they compliment the guns really well.

Thank you cowboy. I really like how it turned out too and seeing it cleared just makes me almost giddy! LOL I know it isn't the best and it can be improved on...but each attempt at a project helps me grow a little more. Every painting is a learning experience.

Actually I want him to go out and ride it hard. I want to see how the paint holds up to scratches, bumps and frame twisting. He is really hard on his sleds so I am SURE he will put it through its paces. Seems this is my first official hood I want to know that the paint job is going to hold up for someone who actually wants to ride his sled after it is painted. If he messes it up, well it just gives me an accuse to paint something else on it!:boogie:
