Can anyone post some pics and info on the type of stands they use? Looking for motorcycle parts stands sport and crusier.
Thanks
Mines long gone but it was made out of an
old pedestal fan base,,, the big ones !!!
Had about a 2ft heavy base w/pedestal,,,
had arms welded to a sleeve that fit over
the upright to swivel !!!
One arm had the curve,, for fenders,,, one
just a bar (with peg under) and a couple
of hooks for tanks !!! Solid tank fit the bar
and the peg under kept tank from rotating
over an fallin off, hooks were for 2pc tanks !!!
I know it does'nt help without seeing,, but
may give you food for thought !!!

here's a ruff drawing to give an idea !!!
Hope this helps !!!

I made mine from paint roller stands I got at Harbor Freight on sale for about 7 bucks each. i also have 2 for fenders and 2 for glass bags. I have made some mods since these pictures were taken. You can buy flat stock or that steel stock with holes already drilled and cover them with foam pipe insulation. I used the square stock shown to make the tank stands. They are not perfect but they work ok. One thing I did was take off the flimsy tubing you see at the bottom, first time I stepped on it it bent so I replaced it with 1/8 thick by 1" wide flat stock. Id like to come up with a locking device that would allow me to rotate the tanks, any suggestions? AL

My friend gave me two, they're made from angle iron, and old wheel rims, so they're really bottom heavy.
