I have a brand new Iwata Revolution and I'm using createx paints. Is there a time period that you shouldn't use createx paints? I have been having problems with clogging and I wondered if the paints can get old and clog the brush.

always filter your paints! I know it's been posted on here a coupla times...but the best bet is steal sisters/mom's old panty hose or buy a paint strainer from home depot, cut either material into 2" squares...and place between the bottle and the cap. It won't solve all your problems, but it should help cut down on the boogers.

That is the opposite for me...
I have been using Createx and it hasn't once clogged my brush, after every time I use it, I DeCon it and clean EVERYTHING.
I have only started getting clogging problems with Totally tattoo paints, luckily it is coming under control.
Note: I have never done anything special to the paint, just bought it and used it.
On the createx,, I usually buy in the larger bottles
and pour into the 2oz bottles to work with !!
Everyonce n awhile I find I need to pour the 2oz
thru a strainer to continue clog free,,, sometimes
the large bottle needs to be strained before adding
to the 2oz setup,,, hit n miss,,, times it does,,,
times it don't,,, the lower the level of paint in the
larger bottle,,, the more the prob !!!
I just use the paint strainers from home depot !!!
Don't know if this helps,,, but you're not alone here !!!

Thanks everyone for the advice. Seeing as there's no panty hose in the house I'll go to Home depot. At least I don't think there is :)

No hose huh, and I bet you wouldn't go buy any either...lol. Look for those large paint strainers, the kind that goes over the top of the whole can (looks like a badly designed shower cap)...you get more for your money that way.

I'm not opposed to buying something like that, just don't expect me to try them out first. ;)

Believe it or not, I have seen a man in panty hose before....funny stuff. And no, he wasn't a cross dresser. My ex hubby used to put them on under football pants when he would play in the late fall. Damn near killed myself laughing...I SO wish I had pictures.
Would I post em? oh YES I would.

Lol, uh, no Art, that's for me alone, and I'm not sharing.....but I could!!! I do paint male nudes ya know. I have to use photo reference that I've shot, can't have some half nekked guy laying around....that would be...distracting...and the cats (Harry "No!! Bad cat" and Phil "the fat bastard").

Not a #$*#$#T chance. Oh hell no. Besides, it's freezing here, california boy...it's all about how many clothes I can put ON, not take off.
Besides, I'm ahead.

While I was in the Army, my friends use to wear them in the winter time. They said that it kept them warmer. Me, I have never tried it but should have so that I could have spoken from experienc.:devil-smiley-033:

Unfortunately, when I was in elementary school we had a renaissance fair come. Everybody was supposed to dress up, and I figured... "cool, maybe I'll be a knight or something cool like that". Well, then Mom decided to "help" out by dressing me in fluorescent pink pantyhose, an oversized purple t-shirt (more like a dress), and a jester hat. Needless to say, I got a LOT of comments that day.
