Sorry guys, this is a holiday I've never "gotten".

From everything I've ever heard, St.Patrick wasn't even Irish. Either a Scot, or a Welshman. But not Irish.

I'm welsh (and English by Birth) by lineage (father is from Holywell in N/Wales)..not Irish, but redheaded...I've dealt with the American St/ Paddy's day thing for all my years here. (Oh, you're a redhead, are you Irish? - uh no. I'm a victim of Viking summer camp long ago)

Hint...did you know ( Kevin would know) that Corned Beef and Cabbage damn near unheard of in Ireland? It was a meal the immigrants "enjoyed" as corned beef was preserved beef. Over here in the states, it's sold as the quintessential "Irish" meal. Riight. Only if the Irish were on this side of the pond (US).

kev ive been trying to get in this thread forever,,,,,BUT EVERYTIME I WOUDL HAVE TO GO,,,
i could not do st paddy parade here cause i had WORK,,MY EVIL BOSS WORKED ME,,,,GOD DAM HIM!!! LOL,,I DIDNT even look too much out the window cause i was all jealous,,so many fallen down green drunks,,POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS,,THE PARADE HER IS SUPER BIG LIKE a great money maker for me ,,flyers and all COULD HAVE BEEN HANDED OUT,,but i had to suck it up and skip it,,,IT DID HURT,,great opportunity,,,i gave him this one,,i take the next parade!!!
