I just bought a used Iwata HP-C from a kid (20 something) that was selling it for 60 bucks.
Everything seems fine...but he lost the instruction booklet.
I can't seem to find an online instruction booklet for taking the airbrush apart for cleaning?
Can someone steer me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Art

morning art, whaddaya know, I have two.
you may find tech sheets on it at Coast airbrush. I seem to recall seeing them there at one time or another. www.coastairbrush.com
I only know how to do a normal tear down, not a deep one. First thing to do is remove the ass end of it (cover). Once that's revealed, you'll see a slightly conical end nut, which holds the needle in place. Loosen that. Pull the needle out gently. Wipe the needle going fro the blunt end to the tip. The spring/trigger assy may come out in 2-3 pieces. In newer models, the lever is attached, in older ones, it wasn't. Unscrew the body of the trigger/spring assy by grasping it close to the body. All that stuff will come out. trigger itself, turn it 90 degrees and lift it out of the slot. (there's tabs that sit in grooves on the inside, they're wider than the slot, so you have to turn it 90 to get it out, and put it back in)
There's two parts to the front nose cone, those both screw off. DO put all parts onto a tray, or seomthing do you don't lose anything.
Help?

Do you have that on video? LOL
Sounds reasonable! But I'd still like to get my hands on a booklet!

Sorry Whit! Can't paint you all with the same brush, can I?
But, nope...not taking it back....men ARE visual creatures. Which is why the porn industry does soooo well.

Actually...pinup art on WWII display models made me stop playing with toys and appreciate those nice paintings on the sides of airplanes!

I'm not surprised Art...lol.
Someone wanted me to paint their leather once, with the "strawberry bitch"...told him how much (and I had lowballed it) and he balked.
Coward.
But I somehow had an affinity with that nose art...lol, hmm, wonder why.
(cause I'm rotten)
