All I can say is that I've heard good things about the little iwata compressors, that they're good for a small compressor, but obviously still don't match up to bigger ones.

Here Nat if you want some more details on the compressor, very small output, max press around 35psi.

For you to look at

http://www.misterart.com/store/view.cfm?group_id=5088&store=001

Only thing I'd say is at least it is a piston type and not a diaphragm type, also should be able to pick up a twin piston type for $120 - $140 better output, less pulsation as well. ie fleabay, I have two, one a twin good for up to 80 psi steady no pulsation, and a 2.5hp oil less 25ltr job that I picked up for $240 roughly new, so to me the comp alone is on the pricey side.

Looks like a nice setup --- the price seems a little high though

I would see what you could pick up on ebay or maybe check out some other places too --- see what they want for a setup like that

I had one of those lil Iwata comps...Had 2 pistons, no tank...About the same size as that...had the foot peddle that turned it on/off...Thing was super quite, like less noise than a hair dryer....Mine went to 100 psi...But the big downfall of no tank..Even though it had a moisture trap, that was a good 10' from the comp...It would build water quick like...If I wasn't baby sitting it I'd get the splat of death!

Fine if you don't do more than 1/2 an hour worth of spraying at a time..LOL...Anyone who wants to do any amount of major spraying I think a tank is a must:)......Just my $1.25's worth:D

For that kinda money i'd think you could get your hands on a nice "Silent" compressor with a storage tank......look around a bit before ya settle on that one.

I have an Iwata Studio compressor. It is silent and can go up to 70 psi's. I run two hoses off of it. I paid ~$375 at Dick Blick. Iwata will also warranty their products, as I have had to return mine for a brand spanking new one.
