I've done a few and always wetsand 1st....I use 400 grit if I'm going to prime it....I use 600 grit if I don't need to prime.......The existing paint job determines if I need to prime or not....If it's spiffy new and in perfect condition, probably don't need to prime...If it's beat up and scratched like crazy, would probably look better in the end to start from scratch....Hope that helps, happy painting:D

Dell will come back but that looks as though it is bare no coating, if that is just unfinished plstic you may need to prime with an adhesion promoter, basically a primer for plastic before you paint. If it is just white painted, scuff away first as Dell sya's then you are good to go.

Being that there's no previous factory paint on there..I'd wetsand with 400 grit then Prime.....Once the Primer cures, I'd sand that with 600 grit...Then onto spraying whatever colors you desire:D

Some people use an adhesion Promoter...I hear they work well, not for me though...Tiz up to you.
