It is missing bright red (first layer), at least if ya were after the 'real' fire look. I made that mistake too over & over. The flames look cool though, nice flow. Cheers!

I,m with Gordon, Not much like fire IMO . But I Sure Like it . Thanks for Showing .
Indeed same here...Might look better with more red, I dunno, I don't think more color would make it look any more "real"...But the layout ya got now is a cool version in itself ....good show!
Got a Great Flow to it,,, Lookin Good !!!

Nice flow but the color are off needs some red outside going to orange and yellow in the middle and small white highlight not too much or you will kill it. you're flame licks are outline with the yellow where the orange should be. then work with the yellow and white to end up in the warmest part of the fire (middle) which is yellow almost white. I've attach a ref pic so you can see what I mean. if you look closely at it you see the darker colors outside and the lighter color inside. Hope this will help

thanks airdoom,I was going to clear it but got home late from work, now YOU made me decide to start over .Like mike L.said;paint what you see and if you're guessing it will look like you we're guessing.that's the mistake I made,no reference foto used.

In a fire that's no prob. That way ya make you're own unique style... With graphics that's a whole other ballgame. I never used a rev from the biginning, paintin flames that is hehe:violent-smiley-010:

Restarting is not a failure it's always end up better than before. The trick is to not do it the same way and try different thing.
CDM using some reference pic would help in achiving a more realistic fire (something that actualy mimic fire). Sorry CDM but you're fire got lots of improvement to be done to it and using a fire reference would definetely help. Having you're own style isn't necessary a good thing. take for example my daughter is 6 and when she draw she as her own style (always doing circle the same way, same looking tree...) She definetely has her own style but when I look at her drawing I tell her it's amazing even if I know that her style is awfull. Don't take me wrong CDM you're work is good but lots of room for improvement and if you don't use the tools you will always get stuck at the same level.

Your flames look great el kolorante! There must have been tremendous amount of oxygen present so as not to burn without any reds or oranges!

Hey El Kolorante! I just moved this post into the fire section, I think more people will be able to find it in there...hope your not too upset man!
The fire is looking pretty good! It's got a good flow to it, and the coloring is subtle, I like it. Keep it clean like that and you will turn some heads for sure!

SORRY GUYS!!! I gotta learn how to do this moderating thing a lot better!
El Korante, i apologize man! I did NOT mean to 'confoos' anyone, so if there is anymore confusion, Its on me guys!
I think the fire looks good man, your freehand work is really good, I think real fire has turned a corner in the industry and more people are shying away from the super stenciled look, so I think with a bit more attention to the details, like the colr blends, and general shape of the flame licks, you have a winner there man!
