hey XZOTIC,
I do temptoos in the summer and I could tell you if I was to do a tat half that size and one color it would be a $10 tat and that would be with a stencil.
I would put that tat at AT LEAST 40 its big and it will take some time to do.
Think about it this way. Its almost the size of a shirt graphic and the paint for temptoos are more expensive. I know it sounds like alot to the customer but you cant lose money either.
PS
dont forget it has alot of brush work for the outlining too

Also if you dont have a plotter you should make some sort of pounce pattern to make the job easier.
I think pounce patters are over looked alot .
If you need to know how drop me an email and Ill go through it with you

this tat will go for around 500$. A temp tattoo will go for cheaper but will take almost the same amount of time to do (a little less) I wouldn't do this for under 100$. I don't really know how much they charged for this but personaly wouldn't do it for under 100$. There is no way you can do this quick and easy. This will take a serious amount of time (lots of detail and color).

That is a spray job an not a transfer type temp tat, seen plenty like it around.

Nat, When it comes to doing stuff you dont want to... Price it to the point that if they say yes! then you will want to... Make sence? Price so high that the money will more than make up for not wanting to do it! :D

Nat I'm with FB price it high if you don't really want to do it.. so if they do say yes it's worth it. that tat is about 5hrs reg tattooing.. i'd say about 2 hours work with a stencil you have to outline the whole thing after,, good luck

Just a suggestion, If you are soin something with detail like this It's tough getting the deatil sometimes with the tattoo paint. I bought all colored sharpies for some of that stuff. Doesn't work real good on sweaty tits but works good for outlining. The tats I have I charge $5 to $10. If I do free hand shit(very rarely) I just through out a price and see the look on there face. One guy wanted an oval with a G in the middle. I told him $30 and he agreed. I felt bad and did it for $10. Do these peolpe make too much money or what? A $250 dollars for a tat that will last for a week?

Stang it's not along it last but time and material. Airbrushing is consider a luxury. You won't see everybody on the street with a custom paint job on their car or bike. Because it's expensif. Same amount of time and skills is needed for temp tat and thus is the same price wetter it's washable or not.

I must've been understood. I am disputing how much you charged. I thought the rush job should've offered more also. I understand pricing and time. That's why I'd rather do the temp tats. Too much time and bitchin on harley tanks for the money around here. Small children don't bitch. I just did that toilet seat, So I explained to the guy that the same job on a harley would be $3500. Took me two days on the toilet seat. I thought I should've at least gotten $350.
Anyway, Hey Nat, since you're in the bright lights/big city, maybe you could think about doin stuff for modeling shoots. But if you get any jobs painting boobs, call me please. You should throw the pictures around to some High Faluters and keep the prices high. Hell, get on David Letterman. Your options are endless. You're not like Dell and I, we like it in one horse towns.

hey XZOTIC I was say at least 40 if you use the way I use. Get yourself some pellon and make a pounce pattern or cut a stencil out. that way theres not much freehanding to do and it will be MUCH faster. Also you could use the stencil again. Temptoo makes a brush kinda like nail polish bottle that you could do touchup and freehand parts that you cant do on a stencil.
You could easily do this tat with a pellon stencil in 20 min and it will look very good

you could make a tattoo stencil, just like doing a real tattoo, then just paint it. the good thing about hectograph stencils is after they dry, you can still clean it good without removing the pattern!

Yes I agree, this is not your regular temp tattoo. It is essentially a real tattoo but with temporary ink. You should charge a fair amount for your time. Anything less than $100, as airdoom said, will be underpriced.

I myself would not even attempt it! I stick to basic stencils, maybe at home for a friend or family, but not while working I wouldnt.
