Another flaming helmet...by MOB...

Hey Hey Hey guys!
Here is one I am working on right now. Going very slowly due to a big workload in the shop, but here is the first coat of Kandy Red over a molly orange base of firey shapes. There will eventually be two flags across the back of the lid, so thats what those white lines are.
I personally like to start with an orange base of shapes, really loose, then the Kandy red and then start in the with the more detailed fire shapes, using my freehand shields and just plain freehand AB'ing. (This formula is how it was taught on the Mike Lavallee DVD, the KING of real fire!)
So far it has worked well for me, of course as you progress, you start to develop your own style and it starts to take on a life of its own!
I am loving all the fire thats being posted in this section of the site!
I hope more and more of you will give it a go and post 'em up in here!

Looking good so far Mob , Good ta Here Ya got plenty of work in the shop too . Hey ! Mob ,Whatever became of the rest of those semi Hoods ? You gonna get the rest of them Ya talked about?? I,m still thinking a Fleet shot would be Perty Kewl . Anyway, Lookin forward to the progress on this one.

Thanks guys! Hey Cowboy..I have done 4 of the 6 total truck s in the fleet...but they are in there busy season right now I guess and need to wait till they can sit a truck for 2 days while I spray it! So as soon as possible, I will get them all together and get a good fleet shot of them for ya all to see, I think it would look killer!
ANd El Kolorante..so far all freehand, unless you mean with freehand 'shields'? I use a shield and loosely make some crisper shapes to add to later with the other layers. I have been VERY slow on this one! More to come after the weekend! Gotta go play with the kids!!
