I was gonna say the same thing, he's got a long upper lip. A sign of intelligence they say.
Cool at least the drawing is recognisable.
2hours with white only, All free hand except guitar neck.
I,m pushing myself to do as much as I can freehand.
I know the face is not right but remember I have only been Abing a few months.

Starting to look good, if I might add a suggestion. This is just the way I would work it and it's just a suggestion. Don't try and get all the detail with the white, just get a good base and make sure you lay the white everywhere you need it. Then go back in with some over reduced black and pull out the details. It's much easier to work with black than white, and posative rather than negative. :)
Makin some good progress on this !!!
Lookin Good !!!:partyalone:

Thanks Clinton,
I am used to Drawing in negative *see pic bellow* pastel. But with the airbrush Im not that good so I will be doing axactly as you say. Just trying to get close with the white, good practice.

Did'nt have any time sunday to work on it but I have managed a couple of hours today. Hopfully should get another hour or so tonight.
I am struggling having to correct by swapping back and forth with the white black, the strings and frets had my going for a while, but I think I have managed to give the ILLUSION of the strings.
I will post todays work later, then tips would be extremely welcome.
Looking pretty Wild there Frog..
I'm with Clinton tho... push & pull your blacks & whites to get your detail.
don't get to stuck on one for to long buddy.
Looking sensational
From a big Clapton fan.
Here's where it is now !!!!!
Lost all the detail, It might come back if its cleared, dunno !!!
Feeling a little disapointed maybe I should have left it just BW.
Ref picture attached as well.
Oh well as I have said to other people every mistake is a lesson learned.

I am with colourshift, I like the blue.
Laura
Frog,
The blue adds a nice element to it.
I would persist with bringing some of the detail back, just now you have a extra color to play with, unless you get some white highlights in there and then hit it with trans blue again.
It can be pushed further, don't give up on it yet mate.

ambo's right, but mostly cause it's already blue..white, as funny as it sounds, has a lot of blue in it. Couldn't push and pull the white over say a red very well, not without a little colour correction.
But with a blue...absolutely. You could really make it kick, then knock it down again to your liking..
Thnx, I,m goin back in, Dont want to give up on this one.

If it was mine and I left it as it is now, I'd be happy. Kudos to you for pushing onward. Looking forward to seeing it finished.

what i you dug into it with a mix of kandy blue or purple with a drop or two of black mixed in? I really like the blue but I think if you wack it with black for the details it will kill it. I could be wrong though.

Frog, I think it is very nice. Good job overall, the blue works. Like folks say, maybe come back in with lighter & darker to pull out the highlights & details, but overall, very very nice!
Here it is today, still some areas I,m not happy with but overall I,m quite pleased.
I went back with white and redid the details a little black/blue to help here and there.
In the photos my work light shines on the pic, I like the effect
What you think , add the light from the top right ?
What you think of the painting ?
If you think it can be improved please enlighten me.
Oh yeah its all Etac, Nice stuff.
Michael
Frog,
Its starting to look real good now.
Although good looking before, you are now giving it life.
Well done

I agree with Ambo, it's coming to life. I would almost leave it at this stage, but that's just me. Don't get caught in the "over detailing" trap. Sometimes less is more, details are not everything. It's the art as a whole and how you have it right now it's a solid peice. :wink2: By the way meant to say I love the blue hue you gave it but your right candy will suck the detail out of a piece. You normally want to make it pretty dark to go under candy, that's just my opinion though.
