Is there a clearcoat that doesn't have UV blockers?
Example: I am painting a cpu case with a base color/colors and going to use Clearneon over the base for glow under blacklight. I would guess that using a clear with UV blockers would completely kill the effect being the Clearneon is UV reactive paint.

Hello ChemoJay...I copied your post in another thread to here because I think this could be some good info for all and to get you some answers to your question....
Here's a link to ClearNeon paint to start....
http://www.clearneon.com/faq.php
I have not tried it and hope some others will be along to help answer your question.....
ClearNeon "brush on" is evidently waterbased and water thinned to use for airbrush.....
I will first say doing samples should be your first order of process....
ClearNeon "aerosol can" is their other application method....
Here is the reference thread I copied this post from......

Wow, UV reactive...in a GOOD way... hmm.
I threw in my 10 cents in the other thread you brought up Jimmy...
But I'll repeat...users info is a great place to start, but to all, please don't discount heading off to the source to whatever paint company that blows your skirt up that day. It's nice to have validated info.... But chances are, the users info gives you methods of how to PUSH the product a little further... the techhies will only give you the "safe" parameters - a good place to start.

IMO, unofficial etc, opinion.. IF this is going to be exposed to SUNLIGHT.. it MUST HAVE the UV blocking clear, which most automotive paints ARE..
now since I SELDOM EVER see a cpu case used outside..you just need SOME clear.
suggestion.. go to a 'good art store'. Michaels, or Hobby lobby at the MINIMUM, if not an art store that supplies College kids..
tell them you want a 'gloss' (assume you want shiny) rattle can clear.
there are some 'higher end' (IMO) Krylon clear coats that your local hardware or Walmart does not carry.
they may have other equally usable ones available, but be certain to mention you do NOT WANT an UV grade clear coat.

It will be hard to fond one without uv protection.. but I think Micheals or dixie art might have some..
