haven't really been doing much lately, mostly some gardening, did manage to fight my way with the heat and redid my car couple weeks ago.

After doing this I decided it was time to get the high temp reducer too~made stripin easier.
Then yesterday I tackled the bus..... found out I can't handle 102* anymore. But I'm stubborn and finished it.

thanks guys.
guess you could say the bus is practice. Was a pain doing the nose. The paint is chipped, cracked and very faded. Couldn't use a stabillo on it. And found a dent when the brush went wonky and my line went fat suddenly! No wiping it off on this paint.
Hopefully by end of year I'll be redoing them on some nice shiny paint :)
Things I learned~ take pic of area, print several, draw samples to find the right combo, need to make a mobile working table, need proper seat, butt hurts today from hours on a cooler, need bigger fan to keep me cool. Well, instead of the fan, I think any more this summer will be done at night! easier to screen off garage than to figure out how to get cars in the house lol!
But I'm still havin fun:D

crazy~ yes the bus is rusted but just around the front glass. It's a project for later. Other wise, the thing is in pretty good shape for it's age. But I need to practice more a autos. Much different painting something that you can't move around, like a plexi panel or posters that I have been doing for the last year.
But since I'm going to be putzing around in this while he drives my much prettier bug, I just have to personalize it B)
And I'm sure somewhere along the way somebody with a faded surface (sometimes called hoodrides in the bug world) may wants stripes and I learned somethings on this.
So no, I don't think it's a waste :D
thanks for the comments :)

thanks for the comments :)
Knucklehead,a car named plum crazy? can't say that I have, may have seen pics, just didn't know the name.
But that is the name of the base color I started with for my car :D, ford's plum crazy , then it got some tweaking. Nice when you know the guy mixing and he knows what you really love ;)

I love the vw's and your pinstriping is very good. I tried doing it once but suck at it.
