Enamel Catalyst

Came across this in a Rural King store.

I was looking at the catalyst.
Is catalyst all the same or is it for use in only the same brand paint?
Or can it be used in, say Rustoleum or other cheap enamels?
The paint in that brand is farm tractor colors. YUCK...
Thought about trying some in cheap clear, on a sport rocket or something.
Or is catalyst a waist of time in enamel?

I use it with industrial maintenance enamels like1-Shot, Rustoleum and others......Without seeing the msds sheet on the Majic hardener, I would reckon it is very similar to the 1-Shot hardener, which is only for use with alkyd type maintenance enamels.....

It is for sure worth using it for me.....Helps with adhesion, film hardness, drying factor, and especially gloss and color retention....
