Howdy Junery, I Moved Yer thread to painting basics to get You some better responses. The Forum Help Thread is only for This Website related help .
Now To answer Yer Question, I Would definatly Reprime, Untill there is no breakthrough spots. Because 90% of the time They,ll come back to haunt You as the Top coats cure. Best of luck .
Yup like CB said..:D
That spot looks kinda big, from the pic it looks like you could feel it too...What Grit are you sanding the Primer with??
I'll leave some sand threw spots on occasion..But there so small it's hardly visible, depends on where they are, and if it'll mess with things later..LOL
No biggie re priming tho..Keep sanding the whole thing (maybe it's already done now?)..Then go back and hit just the spots...You can sand the fresh primed spots when cured...Sand it level with the rest and Viola:D

im using 600 sand paper

Sounds good..Probably can't feel that spot then...Looked a bit more harsh from the pic...If you can feel it, you will see it when base coated..LOL
I'd just hit those spots real quick and sand again.

I wouldn't bother with Sealer...That's more for sealing an old paint job/or body work from your new paint....Just like a shield between the two.
You already have 98% of it primed....I'd just hit those bad spots with the same primer...Let it cure and feather it smooth with 600:D

You want to add black sealer over top of the Primer???.........Thats fine, but not needed IMO....You already primed it...Unless you don't trust the primer to prevent whatever is under it from bleeding through??...No reason to seal it.
Just fix yer spots and base coat it whatever color you want:D...That's what I'd do anyway

you didnt mention the TYPE of primer you used..
WHY do i feel that its EITHER a non degreased spot, OR a heavy build up of primer area that didnt dry/set properly?
just thinking.

From what I see in your pics i'd recommend that you feather those spots with something like 220 or even 320 grit....then remask and reprime......Personally I never sand primer with anything finer than about 320 grit......400 grit at the most.

im like shiva n air_fx, what kind of primer did you use? i use nothing but high build urethane or epoxy primers on my helmets, never had that problem. although i had in times past used lacquer, which i dont no more.
i wouldn't put a sealer on it unless you specifically know your base or top coats will bleed or go thru into the primer.. some are known to do that and thats why some states to use sealers on top of primers.. some primers aren't chemically sealed out the underneath base. if you feel safter , use the sealer by all means. but if you know what ur base is made of and u know it wont bleed down into under coats i woudlnt' use it..
also like air_fx i use around 320-400 on my primers before coating. u'll want some grit for the paint to stick. unless you are sanding clears or something thats another ballpark.
one way to tell if its level and your not sure by your hand feel.. do a black or color guide coat on that area and sand n you'll know without having to go by feeling.. i tend to double check all of my stuff.. feel and then do a guide coat.

hey Cowboy357- I posted a reply that actually should've been a new thread on painting basics how do I resubmit to another forum without retyping the question. It was reply to Colorshift regarding "call to artists -posting new work"
