i havent been able to afford an exspensive air brush so i have had to make do with what i have. one is a paascha(spelling) vsr90. ive noticed that some others have a rounded air cap. well, i have managed to make one for the vsr90. i took a #1 air cap and put a dremel to it, and rounded the tip of it off. maybe my other wise dormant imagination is playing tricks on me but i seem to get a finer spray pattern.:sport-smiley-004:

True,,, also known as a "Paint Picker" aircap,,,
I usually just remove the needle,, reinstall cap
on the brush (less needle) and work it on sandpaper
to bring the edges down,, it allows closer work,,
and gives access to tip for paint removal !!!

The Paasche vsr90 may not be an expensive airbrush but it is a fine airbrush for the money! Just because ya can't quite get those perfectly fine hairlines means very little (maybe you can)! Some people can't produce those perfectly fine hairlines with the expensive airbrushes! I'm one of those people. It takes practice and you must know your paints as much as practicing with the airbrush! So I'm practicing!

Edit: I'm having trouble adjusting to my Infinity 2 in 1! I can't seem to acquire the feel of the very soft touch required for the trigger! Sometimes I have shaky hands and I may never get use to it!

i have an omni 5000 that was real touchy. i took an old beer coozie and cut a small circle out of it and glued it to the finger pad. it sounds funny but it worked for me. i dont shake as much and it is easier on my hand.

I absolutely LUV the soft touch of my Infinity 2 in 1.....With more practice I reckon you will grow to enjoy it more Robert.....Adjusting the paint flow action to more stiff may help you also....Have you tried using the "quick fix" function on the 2 in 1?....I find that quite handy for paint control....
Interesting thing also, I added an H&S FPC (fine pressure control) Valve to my Infinity and it seems to stiffen the air control just a tad.....

Scooby, it's just a "title" that's denoted from the amount of posts you've made thus far...no reflection on you what so ever. We all went through it. Just grin and go with it. :wavey:
