Hi Josie, well I took a good look at the reference pic I had for starters.
I matched the colors as good as I could. The colors on the bottom side of the
engine are the same as in the background.
I tried to use as much white from my board as possible ( highlights I used white paint). If you have more questions just ask. I do have some pics of the whole process, so I could post them for you if it helps answering your question
Grtz Don
Good to see ya Don...I remember that pic and a few of the steps you showed to get there....Amazing work Man!!

Hi all, thanx for the comments.
Chris, the size of the painting is about 40x45 cm
By the way, I saw the piece you're working on.
It looks awesome. How much time did you need to get this far.
The one I did here took me around 85 to 90 hours to finish.

This ia an amazing job, you guys are crazy. 75-90 hours :dropjaw: couldn't see me having the interest in something for that long. Longest i've ever worked on something was 35 hours and it was draining, but awsome to see the end.
Bloody amazing work Don.
You & Chris should get on famously... well done.

SUPER nice work. Simply unvelievable!!!
I'm like you Clinton, I want to give the engine bit a try but I know its going to take close to 80 hours to do and I get a bit impatient by then. The most hours spent myself on a painting was the Alonso Formula One painting and that one took me 80 hours. I dont know,.... I like when things move fast!!
Great stuff DonF40!!

Hahaha....Funny I was in my website stats..Bored and checking out links around the web to my page...Saw this one in there (no idea why)...Saw the bailed pic, but remember how cool it was, knew just where to find it...Shame ole Don up and bailed, maybe he just wandered onto greener pastures.
